Dieter Lämmlin grew up in Rheinfelden / Baden. After the piano and organ lessons from his father, organ studies at the Music Academy of Basel by Hanspeter Aeschlimann followed . Further studies with Rudolf Scheidegger - organ - and Johann Sonnleitner - harpsichord - at the Musikhochschule in Zurich in 1997 he graduated with a concert diploma (with distinction).

He is the winner of the international organ competitions, "G. Silbermann at Freiberg / Saxony and" JS Bach "in Lucerne. Since 1994 he has been organist at the Eglise Française in Leonhardskirche Basel. In addition to many concerts as Soloinstrumentalist he often takes over the organ or harpsichord part in concerts with other instruments and has demanded accompanist for solo voice and choirs.

 In 2006 he was harpsichordist of Musica Antiqua Basel. As part of the organist of the Protestant Church of Baden training he leads an organ class at Weil am Rhein.
